The Alabama Military Support Foundation exists to support those who support us. The organization began as a means to assist in the education and recognition of civilian employers of members of the Guard and Reserve forces. It will continue to support those efforts, while expanding our reach to assist in other military related causes and concerns. Since the expansion of the mission of the Alabama Military Support Foundation, the board has supported Guard and Reserve unit morale events, assisted with the creation of a recreation area and facilities on Maxwell Air Force Base, funded scholarships with the Red Tails Foundation to encourage young African Americans to enter the aviation field as pilots, aerospace engineers, mechanics etc. With the evolving scope of the Foundation we are looking at other military oriented charitable events and related causes the group can sponsor.
